  2. I am a designer I can make my assignemnts MOre interesting and appealing to students and parents. I never realized how easy it can be to make a pamphlet and newsletter, that will help the studnets and parents know what to expect and what accomplishments they will have during the year.

  3. It got me excited about learning the newest technical tools to use with my students. I feel my students will need these tools to be true 21st century learners. I feel I need these skills to stay relevant!

  4. I need this class to help me join the 21st century! My students know more than I do about technology. When I have used technology in the classroom, the students have responded well and been more motivated. This is true even for my special education students. I am looking forward to learning how to do more than just PowerPoint.

  5. I can design my own units and be more creative to get my students' attention right away. They will be able to build on what they learn and use it to build on. I'm anxious to see how all these components we're working on fit together!

  7. I have alot to learn...blogging and Intel provides food for thought. It's too easy to be comfortable with the same old technology.

  9. I have really enjoyed the stations and pair/small groupd work I've done with my students but I look forward to extending the experience with a longer-term unit project. I tend to be an 'overplanner' and I'll be glad to stand back and watch the children learn from and teach each other with what I provide.

  10. This should be very interesting to see how I can use it with music class and with a band. I will see how I can use it to use it with another teacher with rhythm and fractions.

  13. I have realized how antiquated my classroom has swiftly become. I was blissfully ignorant before today. I now see a whole world of opportunities for my classroom that I didn't even know existed.

  16. Wow! I really need to think about specific wording! This makes me think even strategically, even beyond the lesson syllabus we generally construct per units. But.... I can see where this bears a lot of potential, especially if students had liberal access to the internet. I like the PBL, and see that as a "plus", though navigating the sites are sometimes a "delta".

  17. At times, I need to be more of a facilitator to learning than an instructor. I want to provide my students with opportunities to develop the higher level thinking skills that they need.
