•How can I use the Internet to support my teaching and students' learning?

  4. Internet access can contribute greatly to supporting student learning. Rubrics, sample lesson plans, research, and many other options can be utilized for more effective lessons.

  5. You can set up blogs and monitor students conversation, comments, and questions. Also there is a wealth of information regarding lesson plans and ideas to use with students.

  6. Blogs can be set up for student use, rubrics and other self assessment tools for students are available, planning ideas, and much more!

  7. I can show related videos, live webcams, pictures, and articles to provide examples of concepts taught. My students can play interactive games to make learning the concepts more fun. :)

  8. There is just a treasure chest of ideas and activities that can be incorporated into a unit. I use the internet a lot to find fun sites for my science students to complement their CSOs and broaden their scope and sequence of experiences.

  9. The internet provides multiple avenues for students to explore. They will be to explore things that they may never be exposed to. I have taken students on a virtual tours where we have explored things like the rainforest and the desert.

  10. I see this as a resource for me. It is full of sites that help create rubrics, checklists, graphic organizers, etc. Essentially anything I could possibly want to use within my classroom. I also see it as a more interesting tool for my students to use to blog, etc. But only after i have experimented and feel more comfortable.

  12. There are endless possibilities when using the internet to support my teaching & student learning. Not only will we use it for research, but I'm excited about creating my own class blog & WIKI page. I think the students will really enjoy using the internet as much as we can.

  13. The Internet is an awesome resource. We can obtain rubrics, lesson ideas, models, etc. It gives us information and resources quickly - we don't have to spend hours searching. With limited time in our schedules, it is a tremendous time saver when I, or my students, needs information, resources quickly.

  14. There are many possibilities to using the internet and teaching. I have tried using the links given us in our music series, but have not found anything useful there. The music series says there are things found at certain sites of theirs for using with certain pages in the music book, but I have not been able to find them so far. I have tried looking for drums, and rhythms, but they can't be found using the given sites.

  15. The internet can be used to do things other than research. Many of my students are familiar with instant messaging and blogging. Technology keeps them interested and individually involved.

  16. The internet is a fabulous resource, not only for me as the instructor, but for the students as well. Students need to be able to use the internet more in their classroom activities, not just as a sidebar to incorporate into a lesson once in awhile. This is the way of the future society. Many things will solely be done online.
